He knew May was steady and solid and that she wanted him to lean on her, but he worried she might topple under the extra weight. So he tried his best to shoulder it alone. He was strong, he was capable, and he was Spider-Man. He could step up. He could push through.
"You know it won't hurt my feelings if you want to spend time with Tony and Pepper, right?" May tried to tread lightly, knowing if she pushed too hard he would push back, not against her but FOR her. "If you need my permission to let them care about you, or to care about them, you have it."

Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.
Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.

Summary
As punishment for his impersonation of Odin, Loki is, once again, placed in his dungeon cell, with orders for no one to visit him. Fandral, however, feels that this is not punishment enough, so visits his cell and violently rapes him, before encouraging the guards to join in. Following the events of “Civil War”, Thor then secrets a Tony Stark to the dungeon area, to keep him safe from those who wish him ill, on earth. When Fandral later comes into Loki's cell, taunting him about the initial gang rape,Tony intervenes. He has no idea about how Asgardian justice works, but he decides to help Loki, to obtain justice for the sexual assault. After all, he may be a genocidal maniac with terrible taste in helmet attire but, in Tony's view, no one deserves what they did to him.
Warning for major Captain America Civil War Spoilers. I have decided to rework this to include mention of the events of the film (which was absolutely excellent).
