Hosea's warning came a fraction of a second to late. Pain lanced up his arm, teeth digging deep into his flesh as the beast latched onto him, dragging him down. He was falling—sliding rather, rolling; tumbling down, the world about him a mess of snow and fur and blood and pain. And then a shout—something, he couldn't quite make out the words, but his arm was covered in red and he was gasping for breath, sprawled out on his stomach.
His head hurt.

Arthur knows he's dying, can feel the unstoppable pull of it, feels the spirit appear behind him to take him along. And yet, he finds he does not want to die. There is so much that went wrong, so much he regrets and he wishes, with all his being, he could change it. Could at least ensure those that managed to get away really make it out alive.
A second chance, he asks, begs, really. Just give me the chance to save them.
The being behind him pauses and Arthur can't look away from the moment he's frozen in, staring at the dark mountainside, aching to see the sun rise just one more time.
One chance, the spirit seems to whisper, voice satin soft. Make the most of it.

Summary
Arthur Morgan died in 1899 after being betrayed by his supposed father figure and saving John Marston and his family. For his honorable road in life, he was sent back in time to the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2. Knowing who Dutch really is, Arthur, free from TB, sets out on a journey to save as many people as he could, and perhaps even gain something new along the way...
This is my reasoning to write time traveling Arthur. I'm surprised by the lack of him time traveling fics. Taking him from Chapter 6 to Chapter 1 or even 2 presents so many opportunities. You have an Arthur who broke free of his indoctrination to Dutch and has been humbled by TB and blind loyalty. You take him to the beginning of the end, and you have a very good concept. Additionally, I feel like too many fics are too nice to Dutch. He has to take personal responsibility for Blackwater and all of the fuck ups that he'd made, something I doubt he would. He is extremely egoistical. He’s always right no matter what. That’s why he views the people who question his "morals" (or lack thereof) as “traitors” (Arthur and John) and people who follow him blindly as “loyal” (Micah, Bill, and Javier).

Summary
Slowly, he flips himself up, tries to stand up, but Doc is relentless. He’s forced Grian into some sort of awkward position. He can’t push himself up besides with his hands, but even then, it’s an awkward angle. Doc has a death grip on his ankle and he doesn’t look like he has any plans of letting go. It’s a death sentence looking up at him from the pitted angle. Stands something along submission and how Doc’s won, and Grian can’t have him feeling like he’s won when Grian needs to escape with his life in tact.
“Have I told you,” Grian pants out. He’s still wheezing, by the way. It might be a permanent fixture to his voice now, he isn’t sure. “...You’re very handsome. And so strong? Have you been working out?”
Grian /really/ should have escaped when he had a chance.

Etho didn't realize how big of a mistake it was to align himself with Impulse, Skizzleman, and Tango. With them, it wasn't just an alliance; it was a family. He should've expected it. He'd been on a team with Skizzle and Tango before, but back then...
Back then he didn't feel so weak.For some reason, the three had Etho constantly on the brink of regression. Which wasn't good. They were in a murder game and with their limited time, the feasible solution was not to feel small. And with three other teammates hovering over him, Etho couldn't hide away --- he couldn't feel small in peace.
