Half of the car was crushed instantly, they wouldn’t have– I don’t think they even felt a thing.”
“Half the car,” Darry muttered, scrubbing his hands across his face as he raised his eyes again. “Half. My parents, gone. I heard that. I heard you… Half. Officer, my brother. I want you to tell me if my brother made it out the fucking car.”
