There are hundreds of rules at the Galaxy Garrison that cadets are required to follow. They are not allowed to be out of their rooms past lights out. They must follow all instructions given to them by their officers. And, under absolutely no circumstances, are they allowed to date other cadets in their outfits.
Keith's broken plenty of rules before. Skipping class, picking locked doors, and even tried to steal a car once.
This rule though? Might be the biggest one he's broken.

Summary
Doing difficult things of course were never easy. But telling your best friend, and the guy you have a deep seeded affection for that you're not only pregnant, but pregnant with his child was going to be the most difficult thing for Keith.
He wasn't ready for the fallout that would likely come from the news. Of losing Lance's time and affection, of their arrangement.
What Keith wasn't aware of, was that Lance was ready to chuck their arrangement out the door, and the news of his pregnancy was just the excuse Lance needed to man up.

Summary
Keith entered, forgetting to knock, a bad habit he had picked up from Shiro, and froze in the doorway. Sitting on the bed, Lance was taking off his shirt, and Keith knew he shouldn't, but he looked anyway, and felt a warmth in his guts that wasn't entirely unpleasant.
"Keith? What are you doing here?" Lance's voice brought him back to reality, and Keith felt like a worm for looking, for daring to want, for the kind of thoughts he had.
"Ah, I... I didn't think you were about to go to sleep... I'll go..."
"No, it's fine, stay," he said, pausing as he pulled the fabric down to cover his exposed abdomen and back, making Keith deeply regret losing that view.
(If anyone were to ask, Keith had gone to Lance to talk. It wasn't his fault that things had gone on so quickly. Shiro wouldn't hesitate to call it bullshit, but thankfully, that's none of Shiro's business.)

Lance flinched at the direct mention of the kiss, his entire body tensing as if struck. His eyes squeezed shut for a moment, a pained expression crossing his face before he could school his features back into a mask of indifference.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he mumbled, the words barely audible, a pathetic denial that held no weight in the charged atmosphere between them. "It was... it was nothing. We got caught up in the moment. It was a mistake. People make mistakes."
The words were like ice, each one a deliberate attempt to minimize, to invalidate the intensity of what had happened between them.
"It's not a big deal, Keith. You're making it a big deal."

After two weeks of being avoided by Lance, Keith is officially done being patient.
Cornering him in an empty hallway seems like a good idea at the time.

Lance averted his eyes, and his voice was suddenly quiet. It wasn’t like Keith hadn’t hugged Lance before – it just had never been a deliberate choice, but more something that happened out of instinct.
Like when they’ve won a battle against an especially tough Galra fleet, and they flung into each other’s arms in the heat of the moment. Or when one of them fell out of a healing pod, disoriented and sleep-induced, and the other one was already there to catch him.
Never like this – an offer, sounding almost like a question, as if Keith could turn him down with nothing more than a scoff. But Keith was a weak man, and he knew he’d regret it later, when there would be the phantom weight of Lance’s body against his own, the lingering smell of his shampoo in his nose, and the knowledge of how the blue paladin would feel in his arms.
His heart betrayed his mind.
