Summary
Cavalry Captain Kaeya Alberich, Mondstadt’s beloved silver-tongued knight captain and a hoarder of masks and lies. His word can always be questioned, but not when it’s about the safety of Mondstadt and its people, even if the monotony of everyday life seeks to rot him from the inside out. His nightmares colored sapphire from an exiled inspector’s ring remind him that he can never feel truly safe in the city of freedom, and that traitors are best suited to be alone, no matter how much he aches for companionship.
However, when he crosses paths with the Fatui's eleventh Harbinger, Kaeya is pulled over the edge and presented with a choice: Does he continue to bear the never-ending march of time in Mondstadt? Or does he take the wind’s advice and let the tides guide him to not only where he truly belongs, but to also figure out who he really is?

I can't think of a better title.
Kaeya stumbles across a ransom situation but can't bring the Knights into it in any official capacity. Out of options, he turns to the one person he trusts to get the job done. He isn't going to let him do it alone, however, and does everything in his power to help whether Diluc wants it or not.
They have six days to find the girl before their time is up, and their only lead is in Liyue; masquerading as a merchant and their escort, the pair must make it there with a wagon of goods alive, intact, and as quickly as possible. Will they succeed? But most importantly; will they survive each other?
