Summary
After Jeungri’s solo debut, none of the members really looked at him the same. They joked with him, sure, and they discussed future band plans and song ideas (Dongeul Cheotda was a popular but short-lived sequel in the works). But, well… he’d been the maknae before, and he still was, but suddenly he had experience that none of his bandmates had.
The pressure gets to Jeungri, and J-Lite reminds him that, as the maknae, his hyungs will always be responsible for him. Whether for restorative purposes, or for correction.

There was a moment of silence.
And then Victor reached down and grabbed Reed’s chin, lifting his head up until their gazes met, his neck at an odd angle, his back tight and arched.
“I have every intention of keeping my end of the bargain, Richards,” he said, his voice smooth and controlled, but Reed could hear the rage brimming underneath. He's angry. “As long as you keep yours.”
Reed glared stubbornly. “I don’t go back on my word.”
“Trust me, I know.”
“I don’t need the collar, Vic. Or the handcuffs. I won’t run—”
“What,” Victor said, his grip on Reed’s chin tightening to a painful degree, “makes you think you have any say in what happens from now on? Hm?”

Victor almost destroys everything trying to bring his mother back from the dead. To keep the world safe, Reed will do anything.
