Cas had presented as an alpha at fifteen, right on schedule. Sam had presented as an alpha too, a year later. They'd grown up around each other, so there was never that push and pull or instinctive challenge.
The suppressants helped, Cas had been on them since he was eighteen, like most alphas. They kept things manageable and kept him from doing something stupid, like following Dean around like a lovesick puppy or worse trying to claim him.
But sometimes Cas wondered if the suppressants had done more than that. If they'd smoothed over the edges so well that Dean had stopped seeing him as an alpha entirely.

Summary

or: Kal can’t quite explain how he feels about Bruce’s latest machine. It can take the Justice Lords to other universes, other realities. It means they can expand their world, their beliefs. But the one thing Kal thinks this machine will do is take his Bruce away from him, maybe even give him to a version of Kal that is still as good as when they first met. So, color him surprised when, in a fit of rage, he ends up trapped in the machine. Stuck in another universe. Alone with another Bruce Wayne. All while Bruce is back home, stuck with another version of Kal-El. What could possibly happen next? Well, a whole lot of sex.

It’s Father’s Day, and the Batfamily decide to show Dick Grayson the appreciation he deserves. Bruce heard the conversation- he didn’t mean to listen in… Bruce had hurt them all so much, he needed to repent.

Bruce and Dick had an argument. Clark wasn’t particularly worried about that in and of itself- but the scent of dropping lingering on Bruce made Clark wonder if it was really time for an off world mission.

It didn’t make any sense- why would Bruce take this argument as Pack rejection? Dick didn’t mean it, he rarely meant what he said. But now Bruce was gone.

Following the Batfamily gifting Dick Grayson a Father’s Day present, Bruce Wayne’s Omega interprets the act as pack rejection, sending him into a violent dropping episode. When an omega drops, it their relationship with their pack isn’t mended they rapidly sink into a deep depression often followed by death.
Bruce decides to kill himself before that happens, not knowing Clark will bring him back as many times as it takes.
