Tip-toeing his way into the main room, Olruggio made a quiet, shuffling beeline for the kitchen. The liquor was kept on the highest shelf, away from tiny and curious hands. Good vintages he’s gotten from events, or whatever Qifrey brings home from the market, because as much of a role model Qifrey tried to be, even he was partial to a good wine every now and again.
Setting the jar on the table, Olruggio opened up the cupboard and smirked as he brought down a half-empty bottle of said wine. “Haa... despite everything, I can at least always come back to this,” he sighed to himself as he moved to uncork the bottle.
“At four in the morning?” A voice behind him inquired.

Suffice to say, this is not what Rogier had expected of Death.
Some deep, hushed part of himself had always bet upon Death being a sort of pleasant lie, that no golden roots would cradle him and usher him into a new era or a higher plane. That, for some reason, the Erdtree would refuse a soul such as his, and spit him back out to wander onwards as an Undead. And, with his blasphemous existence, he would eventually be slain by the man who hunted Those Who Live in Death, in some bittersweet reunion with little words and little tears.
Instead, what awaited the heretical sorcerer was nothing more than a small, blackened tree in the middle of an endless field. A starless night that felt fathomless yet somehow lit like day beneath the glow of an eclipsed moon. No, Rogier could not make sense of this.

Summary
Surprisingly enough, in the undisclosed amount of time Kouta Yuudai had been in Twisted Wonderland, he had never once owned a new phone.
He never saw the point in it, since he couldn’t contact home at all, and all his favorite mobile games just... didn’t exist here. Not even to mention phone plans don’t travel between universes, and he certainly didn’t have any money— sorry, madol —on him.
It was definitely quite the change, but alas, in the long run not having the internet is probably for the best. Now he won’t be distracted with—
“What do you mean you don’t have a phone!?”

Luocha had the funniest feeling that he might be getting stalked.
Which should’ve been so much more of a surprise, but this isn’t exactly the first time it’s happened. He’s had quite a few times where his mysterious beauty had garnered a teensy bit too much attention from someone who wasn’t exactly in their right mind, but he usually dealt with those situations swiftly. And he was very, very good at concealing his own presence, as well as scrubbing clean a long list of unfortunate deeds.
No, the problem is, the man doing the stalking is the esteemed Dozing General of the Xianzhou Luofu himself.

Summary
The glow of the infirmary was a nuisance to Kouta Yuudai.
He didn’t think he’d ever get used to the antiseptic stench, either in his last world or this one. Even though Night Raven College’s infirmary didn’t exactly have eye-hurting white walls and overhead lights that constantly buzzed because someone decided the building didn’t need that much power, it still was an infirmary. Still full of chemicals and medicine, this time interspaced only with magic that made Yuu’s skin tingle.
He huffed out a breath as he laid there in bed. Even here, he remained out of place. The only magicless human being in this entire goddamned building, patched up and bruised because of, once again, yet another Overblot he had to take care of himself.
He needed a raise. But to get a raise, Yuu needed to get paid first, and Crowley was a stingy sort whose kindness only goes so far. But at least Yuu’s enrollment was free.

After defeating his fifth Overblot in a row and getting heavily injured, Kouta Yuudai returns to Ramshackle with a lot on the mind, and a certain someone comes to check on him.

It had only been a week since Kouta Yuudai had become something more than a presence at his side, more than someone he sparred with, observed, or quietly stood near. A week since the word boyfriend had entered his life, awkwardly, almost shyly, as if it did not quite know how to fit yet.
Silver turned the word over in his mind, like the way one might test the weight of a new weapon in their palm.
Yuudai.
Even thinking his name made something low and unfamiliar stir in his chest. Not unpleasant at all.
