Summary
Tim started up gymnastics as a way of flying like Robin, like Dick Grayson. He may be bad at other things, like making his parents happy and in turn making them stay, but he was good at preforming. It was less than a coincidence that his gym was where Nightwing worked, but that was neither here nor there.
Dick had felt stuck in his life where cases and missions took up every second of his day. He needed an outlet, a way to honor his past and keep himself sane in the present. After deliberation, he knew that becoming a gymnastic Coach would be the best of both worlds. He could still be vigilante by night, but he could also make an impact on his community during the day too. Turns out Timothy Drake is part of that community and he'll be damned if he doesn't make an impact on that kid's life as well.

In which Dick Grayson is a gymnastics coach in Bludhaven and Tim Drake is one of his gymnasts. Through a series of events, it becomes apparent there may be more going on with Tim's home life that meets the eye, and Dick takes it upon himself to figure out what is going on. Cue Tim bonding with the batfam.

Summary
It starts off as symptoms that are ignored easily enough: a stomach ache here, some blurry vision there and maybe some overall fatigue, but nothing too bad. Tim knew his body, or at least he'd like to think he did, and he was fine. He would mention something if stuff got worse, but in the meantime he'd just employ his go to strategy: avoidance.
___OR, something is definitely off with Tim and sadly avoiding problems doesn't mean they go away. After weeks of downplaying his symptoms, things come to a head and Tim can no longer hide his discomfort. Tim is brought to the hospital after a particularly scary series of events and some shocking discoveries are made.

Summary
Damian has bad memories associated with eating meat due to trauma from his time with the league, but is too afraid that this will not be deemed acceptable by his father, so he continues to force himself to eat it. As time goes on, however, he can no longer consume meat without becoming nauseous and having vivid flashbacks, so resigns himself to not eating much at all since almost everything Pennyworth makes contains some sort of meat or other animals product. Dick is the first to notice Damian's concerning behavior and confronts Damian about it.

Summary
Neil is clearly not fine but does everything in his power to convince those around him that he is. This has varying levels of success, specifically with Andrew (as one may expect) and eventually his facade comes crashing down around him. Now, he must face a diagnosis that could very well cause the Moriyama to reconsider the deal that ensures his safety.

Or: in a universe where Jason wasn't killed by the Joker, where Tim's parents die on a plane accident when he's 13 years old, his uncle Eddie steps up to take care of him per his parents request.
Once Eddie shows his true colors, Tim will have to fight not just only to survive, but to take back what has been stolen from him. It’s a good thing he won’t have to do it alone. -

I am of the opinion that we always need more.
“the warmth’s returning” is a series of short fics set in my own version of a Talon AU, which all should be enjoyable on their own as oneshots but are part of a larger whole. They’re collected here in chronological order, not in order of posting.
