    Subaru meets a particularly Melancholic Man during his last failed attempt to reach the mansion and decides to form a contract for their mutual benefit. The Melancholic man will get to be reunited with the one who showed him the light in the world, and Natsuki Subaru will have a new and powerful ally to help him save the mansion residents from sloth's attack. However upon looping back in front of the Appa man with Rem, Subaru is no longer the Subaru everyone had come to know, and this Subaru begins to make some rather rash and drastic decisions.
