Summary
I enjoy remixing fairy tales, and find it a useful tonic to curing writer's block. So I have challenged myself to rewrite all of Grimm's Fairy Tales, in order.
Some will be well known, some will be obscure. I will try and make the stories clear without needing to know all of the details, although I will be relying on some of the specific details for some of my inspiration.
I may, at whim, change the sex, race, orientation, names, and/or species of the characters. These stories were collected in Europe by two men (who reportedly edited out a fair amount of more active women). Stories can and have found parallels across cultures and I refuse to restrict my stories to western Europe.
Also, I am somewhat surprised on rereading the 'original' stories, how much I dislike some of the 'hero' characters. Fair warning.
