“Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”
Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.
Shit.
Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.
A story told over five acts which leans heavily into the pain of three characters, with Katsuki's anguish being the focal-point. The happy ending and eventual comfort to the hurt exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story will be gut-wrenching to read most of the chapters. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.
Oh, and the title of the fic is in part inspired by the song Scorpio Rising by Soccer Mommy, and also in part by, well, astrology.

He also can’t help but notice that the deuteragonist in the hot new manga, ‘Hero U,’ strongly resembles his childhood friend, which he finds very endearing.
All this mingles in his mind when he has a run-in with a strange Quirk that can bring his fantasies to life and soon Izuku finds himself at the center of a love triangle—or more like a quadrangle—with three Kacchans vying for his affections, including the real one who suddenly seems jealous?! Izuku does what any self-respecting hero with a secret love would do: goes on a date with each of them.

Izuku's smile flickered away for a second. Only a second, but Katsuki noticed that too. He clenched his fist, gripping his remote so tightly in his hand that it almost broke with the strain.
"Of course," Izuku said, like that wasn't a blatant lie. "I'm proud of what my friends accomplished, of course I am."
That part, at least, didn't sound like a lie.
"Kacchan most of all."
Katsuki's had no contact with Izuku ever since he disappeared from their lives barely a week after the war ended, only finding out bits and pieces of Izuku's life in America through broadcasts on TV. When an undercover mission forces the two of them together again, Katsuki tries his level best to not let Izuku get under his skin again.
(It was always doomed from the start.)

Katsuki always stayed until 8:56 every Friday night. It would seem odd to everyone else, but to those who knew what had happened, it made complete sense. Izuku Midoriya jumped off the roof of his middle school at 6:15 PM on a Friday and was pronounced dead at 8:56 just a week later, his broken body losing the battle against its injuries.
"Deku… the Master is wanting to speak with you." A voice whispered.

They're leaving behind the blood, tears and screams of the night before, but what awaits them ahead? And are they really fit to be what the world expects of them?
Pride follows some of the core members of (formerly) class 1-A, with an emphasis on the characters who I felt might wrestle with an interesting journey around queerness. I also wanted to explore how the characters are impacted by the war they faced, as well as their general backgrounds, experiences and insecurities. I have tried to write as honestly as possible from my many years of being a complicated human, as well as from my own ten years out of the closet.
This is my first proper fanfiction, so I hope you enjoy it!

Izuku slowly turned his head, looking up at the man. “Why’d you hurt her, Daddy?”
His father tilted his head, smiling. “She was in our way. I have big plans for you, and she wanted to stop them. Now, shall we be on our way?” He stood, lifting Izuku up and placing him on his hip. “There is much to do.”All for One kidnaps Izuku when he is still a toddler, helbent on creating the perfect noumu for his cause.
