Summary
Keyleth is an overworked university student in need of a good cup of tea. Vax owns one of the best cafes in the city (according to Keyleth's friend Pike). And after their first slightly disastrous meeting, Keyleth and Vax keep on running into each other. Turns out, their friends are friends with each other and so they all become a merry band of adventurers in the post-work hours of Emon.
Everything changes when two of their friends and Vax's sister, Vex and Percy, a long time couple, become engaged. Not wanting to go to his sister's wedding alone, Vax asks his new friend Keyleth to be his plus one. Keyleth accepts.
It makes Vax way too happy she said yes. It makes Keyleth way to happy Vax asked her. They're both too busy to be a couple, they tell themselves. They're just there to support their friends.
But weddings take a long time to plan, with lots of sleepless nights, lots of disasters, and lots of cups of coffee.

Summary
Rin is guilty of a crime she did not commit. Not being able to stand the sight of her, her community shuns her and her family sends her away to a cranky foster mother in Tokyo.
Rin is trying her best to lead a normal high school life, but its not exactly easy when students whisper about the violent criminal among them, the gym teacher gives her weird looks, the strange 'mental shut downs', the delinquent girl tries to be her best friend, and, of course, the weird dreams of a velvet prison.
Over the course of a year, Rin awakens to a special power that allows her to navigate another world, parallel to the Tokyo she knows. Rin and her new friends form a vigilante group and dub themselves the Phantom Thieves. However, the Thieves stumble into a plot far larger than themselves that will kill them with one misstep. Rin must maneuver them through the lowest of society, paranormal universes, police, politicians, attractive celebrity detectives, and of course school or else they and many others will perish.
All she can rely on is faith. In her friends, in her new powers, her love, and most importantly herself.(All our heroes are gender-bent)

After awakening Arsene, Akira discovers a mark on his wrist in the shape of a bird. He keeps it quiet until he realizes that his fellow Phantom Thieves have marks as well. Funnily enough, their marks correspond with their romantic partner. Akira wonders if there is anyone in the world for him.

In an ever expanding universe, sometimes stories change. A scrap of fact here, a piece of fiction there. Anything to pass the time and keep the moons turning. Who doesn't love to hear what they think is the most interesting part over and over? That is until some parts are forgotten and have to be filled in when the story passes to another.
Over time, some things stay constant: who lives, who dies, who wins, who loses, who falls in love with who, who is the traitor, who is the hero. How we get there...that's out in the universe for the story teller to decide, but even then the constants are up to the teller as well.
Average people become people who do good. People who do good become heroes. Heroes become legends.

In between pressing kisses to his neck, on one pleasant but innocuous night, Goro asks, voice rough yet smooth like lightly sanded wood:
"How do you feel about handcuffs?"
And Akira trains his face so he doesn't grimace. Historically, handcuffs haven't been associated with great things in his mind. But this is Goro, who he trusts, who he loves, who loves him, so he says:
"Sure, we could try it."
