Vincent blinked owlishly in response, very not-subtly signaling he had no idea what he was supposed to do with that. Alastor's eyes rolled so hard they looked ready to fall out of his head.
"It means- don't zone out again, I swear- that it can be tampered with from outside."
He gave him a pointed look at the end, as if that would magically make him understand whatever the fuck he meant.

Or: Vincent and Alastor get kidnapped so they can be used as offerings in a summoning ritual. Things go south real quick.

Summary
Vincent Whittman dies and wakes up in Cannibal Town with a body that isn’t his and the uncomfortable opportunity to start over. Alastor, twenty years into a deal with Rosie, is supposed to keep the peace, not babysit a mouthy new sinner who keeps breaking rules. He'll protect his privacy, his darkest secrets, at any cost.
While navigating his new reality, Vincent becomes infatuated with a radio show. The host is mysterious, classy and demented. Everything he wants to be. He'll stop at nothing to discover the man's identity, and convince him to show him how he rose to the top.
What begins as reluctant proximity turns into a sadistic friendship and beyond, in a slow-burn story about shame, self-reinvention, and trying very hard not to want the wrong things.

Summary
After his defeat, Vox knew his body would regenerate - but not like this.
Now stuck powerless and in his most despised human form, he must navigate attempting to reacquire his old body while also figuring out how to protect himself - a practically impossible feat as a human in hell. Especially when everyone seems to want a piece of him.
With his faith in his old partners at an all time low, Vox is forced to turn to the one person he never thought he'd have to rely on.

But I suggest you leave me the fuck alone about it and think about declaring a temporary truce, because we’re both stuck in this room, and your inhibitions are going to be just as lowered as mine.”
“Oh, I’m well aware,” Alastor drawled, and let his legs fall open, revealing that he was every bit as hard as Vox was right now. He dragged his fingers delicately up the thick ridge straining against his pants as Vox’s pulse roared in his ears. “What sort of truce do you have in mind?”
