Carlos has been teaching Kindergarten for a few years now, but when the older brother of one of his students comes into his classroom for career day to talk about being a firefighter, Carlos finds it difficult to keep the lines between professional and personal clear. Maybe if TK weren't so gorgeous, or flirtatious, or confident, it would be easier for Carlos to ignore him. Then again, maybe if Mr. Reyes weren't so handsome, kind, and caring, TK would be able to get Carlos out of his head.
(TK is still a firefighter and the timing is a little different. TK and Owen have been in Austin longer, TK's little brother is 5 and lives in Austin with Gwyn, Owen, and TK. Carlos is a teacher and not a cop, pretty much everything else follows canon.)

“Is it closed?” Buck finally breaks the silence and gets up from the bed. He checks the door himself and when nothing happens, he lets out an annoyed huff.
“Tyler Kennedy Strand, you are an absolute fucker!” He shouts and hears a giggle on the other side of the door.
“Don’t waste your voice on me, I won’t open the door. Have fun, boys.” TK replies, clearly entertained and very pleased with himself. Buck knows TK well enough to be convinced that he, indeed, won’t open the door. He should’ve known that his friend was up to something, that his behaviour was a little sketchy all evening. He’s gonna pay for it, he promises himself.
