“‘...issues an apology for what he has said and done.’” Snape finished, flicking the Daily Prophet shut and looking at Harry expectantly. Did he expect him to get upset?
“Borrrrringgg!” Harry blurted out, as Snape’s gaze fixated into a scowl.
“Boring, Potter? Boring? The most publicized newspaper berating you and talking about your pathetic love life is boring?” Snape sneered.
“Yeah, it kinda is,” Harry said as he fake yawned. “My love life isn't pathetic. I don’t even have a love life. Nor do you, and you probably won’t have one anytime soon if your ego continues to stay the same size as your nose.”
The Slytherins gaped at Harry, a few openly chuckling as Snape’s expression shifted into the constipation™ look. Ron abruptly laughed so hard he proceeded to accidentally knock over the bottle of stinksap onto Snape’s robes.
Harry finally burst out laughing. He really couldn’t help it this time.

The fifteen-year-old is struggling to cope with his godfather's recent death, ridden with guilt, shame, remorse, and much internal conflict, depression looming on the horizon. The Dursleys aren't helping things either. Things take a sudden twist for the worse when the Blood Wards around Privet Drive fall, rendering Harry unsafe. What's the solution? Dumbledore arranges for Harry to stay with his most hated person after Voldemort and Umbridge: Severus Snape. In isolation. For two weeks. It goes without saying that neither wizard is pleased, and their feelings of mutual hatred are much reciprocated. And with a ticking sleep-deprived Gryffindor time-bomb, that right there is a recipe for a dangerous concoction.
Angst, hurt/comfort, emphasis on psychology and character developement. Super slice-of-life kind of story where every chapter is one day of the two weeks our two favorite characters have to spend in isolation. And the chapters are LONG. Panic attacks, stress, anxiety all based off of personal experiences. Written in third-person omniscient. Heavy emphasis on internal conflict, feelings, emotions, and learning to cope with life's shit.

Summary
Harry doesn’t think much about the Triwizard Tournament beyond being relieved that he won’t have anything to do with it at all. It seems like he might finally have a quiet, peaceful year.
So, of course, his name ends up coming out of the Goblet of Fire despite the fact that he would never in a million years enter this death tournament willingly.
The entire school turns their back on him once more, only this time, he truly feels alone. Is this how it’s always going to be? Year after year of being thrown into life-threatening danger at Hogwarts while surrounded by people who can’t decide whether they love or hate him only to be shunted off to the Dursleys –who certainly aren’t shy about how much they hate him– every summer?
It feels like the fighting never ends. Harry is so, so tired…

There are many moments in our lives that add up to define who we become, and some things that we simply are with or without any choice in the matter. Getting to Platform 9 3/4 by himself and finding a toad roaming the train, one small moment among thousands, really should not matter all that much in the grand scheme of things… Except it does.

When Harry Potter's worst enemy asks for his help though...well, that pesky saving people thing just really gets in the way.
