With one touch, she’s putty in his hands and willing to bend to his every command. One hand goes around to the back of her neck and he pulls her down, ever so gently so that their faces are inches away from each other. He smells so familiar and comforting -- like leather and sandalwood, spicy and woodsy. She can feel his breath hot against her skin and her brain is screaming for her to abort, abort, abort.
But she can’t move. She’s powerless against him. Briefly, she wonders if this is his sick way of getting revenge and retribution for all the pain that she caused him years ago. Is he just messing with her?
“Are you still in love with me?” He repeats his question from before.
How is she supposed to answer this? Her brain whizzes at a hundred miles a minute and she can’t slow her thoughts. She feels like each one is pounding against her temple, shoving one another away from the forefront, trying to dominate.
Honestly, she thinks. She needs to answer this question honestly. Because she’s not a liar, not anymore.

The Jones family was once a respected, wealthy family in the wizarding world. That was until evidence was found that Forsythe Pendleton Jones I, a long dead Death Eater, had some not-so-legal transactions. All of the wealth inherited from Jughead's grandfather was confiscated by the Ministry of Magic. Jughead's only escape from his home of horrors is to get to Hogwarts. FP II wants him in Slytherin to uphold the family tradition. Jughead doesn't want to be like his dad.
Elizabeth Cooper, younger daughter of Alice and Hal Cooper, has been taught from a young age that her family has only been sorted in Slytherin. Her mom, dad, sister. Her cousins, the Blossoms, are the same way. Her mom is related to the Malfoys, her father to the Weasleys. Summary
When a federal agent Betty Cooper gets assigned a case featuring an art thief and forger Jughead Jones, she doesn’t really think much of it. But as months pass, alongside the irritation caused by both the lack of progress in the case and the criminal himself, other feelings start to blossom as well; particularly the ones of respect and admiration. And the fact that Jughead is more intrigued by the agent on his case than terrified of her certainly doesn’t help much with keeping their relationship strictly professional. In their lines of work, pleasure and business certainly shouldn’t mix, but who’s there to stop their foolish hearts?
