"No, let's not risk it," Jungkook sighed heavily as he eyed his still flat tummy. "You have a pup, Tae... There's another life inside of you. You both will never be in danger again if I can help it."
He closed his eyes, resigned. "This is why I didn't tell anyone of this... I don't want to be a burden. I chose this situation, so I'll live with it."
"Taehyung," Jungkook's tone was dead serious now. And the alpha using his full name is never a good sign. "You only have two options as soon as we are out of here: either you leave your place and move to mine, or I will move-in to your apartment."
And that's how Taehyung ended up living with his best friend - the same guy who obliviously caused his heartbreak... the reason why he is now pregnant with someone else's child.

"Well... Thanks anyway for making the last three months more interesting. It's definitely a welcome break from my usual boring life, as you know by now," Taehyung said as he remove the overpriced silver chain bracelet and watch from his wrists - stuff he could not afford on his own and would not buy even if he had the money - then handed them over to the other. "I wish you well, Kook."
Jungkook looked him in the eye. "They're yours. I gave them to you."
"Oh..." Taehyung chuckled again, but this time, it sounded bitter to his own ears as a lone tear escaped and rolled down his cheek. He immediately wiped it with a hand. "Souvenir. Sure, I'll take these."
Break-ups are hard. But break-ups when you know you were played with all along are definitely harder.

Summary
Jeon Jungkook watches from afar, outside the glass walls, as Taehyung cleans the table after greeting their last customer. It's December 30th and this café he is working at is closing earlier than usual. Most food establishments will be closed the following day, too, as it is the last day of the year.
Kim Taehyung - his husband, two years his senior - as usual is working hard despite the holidays, when he could just be at their home, unwrapping gifts or sipping hot chocolate, and watching fluffy flicks while wrapped in a fleece blanket. The said home is big but colder now, lacking life since Taehyung left almost two months ago, with a small duffle bag of his old clothes and the signed divorce papers on the coffee table...
