As he speaks, Hua Cheng tilts his head slightly. Xie Lian's gaze follows the movement. His attention is ensnared by the crown of Hua Cheng's head—or rather, the area just above it. A space that was normally empty, but now….

Summary
Xie Lian has been stressing himself out with work, but if he doesn't do it now then it will never get done. Luckily for him, fidgeting with the ring San Lang left him with has been helping him avoid getting too stressed. Something about it carried an overall calming energy, making the task at hand far easier.
Meanwhile, deep in the gambling ring of Ghost City, Hua Cheng can't help but be distracted by the feeling of someone's touch all over. He knew right away, he needed to give a short visit to his crown prince.
The only problem, Xie Lian doesn't want to put the ring down, and a part of Hua Cheng knew he didn't want him to either.

When the thick black fog of the curse clears, there’s a child standing in front of Xie Lian. He’s small—he’s so, so small—and as soon as he sees Xie Lian, he wraps his arms around himself and hunches his shoulders like he’s trying to make himself even smaller. There is not a single spark of recognition in that wide, wild eye.
“...San Lang?!”
When a curse turns Hua Cheng into a child again, it's up to Xie Lian to take care of him. It's a task easier said than done, when Hua Cheng's memories have regressed along with the rest of him.
