A routine stakeout turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse for Malfoy and Potter, and when the worst happens, they are forced to call the Greater Manchester ambulance service for aid.
They landed at the back of a McDonalds in a noisy city centre, an overwhelming stench of rotting food filled the small space from the bins, the floor was littered with food and shiny underfoot with layers of grease. Harry cast around for the exit, looped Draco’s arm around his neck, got his shoulder under him and heaved him back onto his feet. Not waiting for Malfoy to get his breath, he walked them as steadily as he could out of the alley and onto the busy street, merging with the late-night revellers.

He may not be able to see the intruders in his home but he can still hear them, they stand around his prone body, laughing at his plight, their accents definitely east European or Russian, Slavic in origin for sure and Draco latches on to that one little clue as he feels his rabbiting heart beat echo through every limb. He tries to contain his terror, to push it away and focus on anything other than the memory of Ron’s cold expression as he cast against him, to feel anything other than the bright, hard terror of betrayal.
While they try to celebrate at their stag parties, Harry and Draco's home is invaded, Draco is captured and Astoria prepares to hand Scorpius over to Nott's forces, who are led by the betrayer in their midst.

Draco, desperate to escape Theo's plans, persuades Harry to marry him the old way, with bonds of blood in the middle of the night but unknown to them they are seen and their actions change everyone's carefully laid plans.

Harry cuts across him, wand raised and pointed straight at him like an arrow, low and dangerous he growls “Not you Ron.”
There is anger and coldness there, betrayal colours his voice, edging it with broken glass. Ron raises his hands in supplication, stepping back he throws a worried glance towards his elder brother and then to the corpse at their feet.Series

And now it’s Harry that Draco can’t bear to be parted from, he breaths in the orange and earth scent under the spice of his cologne, feels the play of Harry’s muscles under his shirt where they press together. The pain is immediate and bone deep, the swiftness sucking the air from his lungs, the flesh on his fingers and hands bubbling and dissolving even as he jerks them away. The scream, torn from his throat, has Draco throwing back the sheets and running down the corridor, feet slipping on the polished wood, before he can even register being awake but it is heart stopping shock that brings him to a dead stop just inside the nursery door, his sleep addled mind weaves the scene seamlessly into his nightmares. The confusion of noise and colour punches him in the gut, freezes his limbs, delves deep into his chest to grip his terrified heart in a rope of thorns.
Nott's forces reach out to attack the Potter-Malfoy family again. Draco is told his future and Harry tries to find a way to keep them safe.
