“Tell us what’s going on, and maybe you'll live.” He all but mutters at you, jaw clenched.
The lack of eyelights unnerves you a little, you can't tell where he's looking or what he's feeling.
You let out a huff, more akin to a laugh as you roll your eyes. “Have you not been here for the last few months? Were you that dead to the world or are you just stupid?” You bite. “We're in the middle of a fucking zombie apocalypse if you couldn't tell. And you're clearly infected.”
-----The world went to shit months ago. Zombies everywhere, a lack of any survivors, and food a luxury you're lucky to have scraps of. The spoiled magic leaks from the eyes of the (technically) undead and you count your luck stars that you're blessed with no magic innateness.
With little choice, you're stuck with the people who could get you killed the easiest. And you're not sure why you're enjoying their company so much. -

So when you find a knife-wielding skeleton in the woods on your morning jog, you go against your better judgement and heal him. At least he’s nice enough to pay you back with outings that are starting to feel a whole lot like dates.
Too bad that skeleton is actually one of the enemies you’re supposed to be fighting against, and your existence is about to become not-so-secret to his boss.
