The meteorologists have been absolutely clear, and the Sheriff’s Office has been amplifying the message far and wide. This is going to be a hell of a summer thunderstorm — torrential rain, gale-force winds, flash floods, and maybe even some scattered tornado activity. Everyone with even a lick of common sense has holed up with supplies. Only an absolute fool would be out in this weather.
Which is why when the phone rings at the Sheriff’s Office, Steve looks at Bucky and Bucky looks back at Steve, and both of them say at the same time, absolute resignation in their voices: “Barton.”

Summary
“What’s the plural for a group of Steves?” asks Natasha, and it’s weirdly comforting that the question has a hint of whimsical hysteria to it. Good, Bucky’s not the only one who’s not dealing well with all of this.
“A clusterfuck,” he says. “A clusterfuck of Steves.”
Despite how little sense his life has made since he got on a battlefield to fight a bunch of aliens, Bucky's pretty sure he knows exactly what's happened when a much older Steve appears after the mission to return the Infinity Stones: he left Bucky behind to get his much deserved happily ever after in the past. Only then another Steve shows up, and another. And Bucky realizes he still hasn't got any idea what's going on.
What he does have is a whole lot of Steves, a fraught relationship with his own Steve, and tentative plans to leave. But the more Bucky talks to all these different versions of Steve, the more he begins to wonder if leaving really is what's best for him and his Steve, or if there's a way to make something new out of their long friendship.

The first two things that come into Clint's mind when he sees his husband-to-be are both shit. First: Shit, he's hot. Then: Shit, he does not look happy to see me.
This is the part the experts can't predict. He knew that going in. They ask for preferences and everything, but there's no magic algorithm that can guarantee attraction. If this guy isn't into him physically, the marriage is pretty much doomed.
He tries a smile as he approaches the end of the aisle, and gets absolutely nothing back. Shit.
"Hi," he says, holding out a hand. "I'm Clint."

After winding up in hot water with the Ukrainian mob, Clint finds himself relocating to a small town in northern Indiana to work as an elementary school gym teacher, and finds his new home invaded by a series of suspiciously wolfish puppies determined to be Lucky's BFFs, and his life invaded by over zealously friendly neighbors determined to feed him. In a startling twist of events, three of his favorite students happen to be his next door neighbors, along with their ruinously hot single dad Bucky, who proves to be just as enamored of Clint as he is of Bucky.
What follows is a classic rendition of thirsting over the hot neighbor, bizarre small-town behavior, and so many puppies.

Clint talks himself in circles (he's really great at that), Lucky is the bestest boy (he's even better at that) and Bucky waits them out (he's practically a professional).

Clint is in his final year of college, probably, and is just trying to earn some spare cash by doing magic tricks for the frat bros. Fake magic tricks. Magic isn't a real thing. Why do I even have to say that, fic summary? Clint's magic tricks do not usually end with the cards suspended in mid-air surrounded by a cloud of purple sparkles, though. Uh. Clint will be right back. Step step step step step step SLAM.
Bucky is a chem professor and oh yeah, super competent witch, because magic is totally a real thing. He is just trying to get some grading done when his witchy alarm bells start ringing. Aw damnit. He needs to find the source of the uncontrolled magic, fast, or his tenure application will be derailed by the swift appearance of way more of his extended family than anyone should ever have to meet.
Good news: Bucky finds the source of magic easily!
Better news: The source of the magic is a really hot guy.
Bad news: ...who has accidentally summoned a purple sparkly demon bent on destroying reality. UH.Can Bucky save the day? Yes. Yes he can.

Summary
Bucky can tell, in one look, that the deputy is going to be a problem. The mutinous twist of his mouth is almost enough to make Bucky stay on the train. But there’s nothing for him any farther down the line.
Whole damn galaxy full of reasonably terraformed planets, and he ends up here. It nearly makes him think his faithful service in the war wasn’t as fully appreciated as the bureaucrats made it out to be. He sighs, sets his shoulders, and steps off the train.
“Yeah,” the deputy says, drawling it out so Bucky can feel every ounce of disrespect and derision in that one syllable, “figured it might be you. You’ve got that authoritarian look about you.”
