Summary
“Use your power on me,” he told Wei Ying. “Ask me what I want tonight.”
Wei Ying studied his eyes, then nodded. His hands still spanned Lan Zhan’s hips. He took in a slow breath, and as he breathed out, Lan Zhan felt it—a sparkling, tumbling rush of magic that raced through him like a spring downpour. It knocked down barriers and whisked off the heavy cover that had sheltered and oppressed him all his life. Words of truth swirled easily to the surface, like floating petals.
“What do you want tonight?” Wei Ying whispered.
“I want to kiss you,” Lan Zhan said. “I want to touch you. I want you to touch and kiss me.” It felt so good, this magic. It was the most exquisite freedom. Why had he ever feared it?
* * *
Twenty years ago, as friends in college, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying hooked up one magical night. Now Lan Zhan is a music professor in Oregon, and Wei Ying is a world-famous Broadway star in New York. They haven’t seen each other since graduation, but neither has ever quite gotten over the other. So when Wei Ying comes back to Lan Zhan’s town to sponsor an arts-a-thon fundraiser…cue the second-chance romance!

Summary
Every generation, a Lan heir is blessed with the ability to bear a child.
Contrary to the hope of the cultivation realm, this generation’s Lightbearer is not Lan Xichen, but the unwilling younger brother: Silver-medalist night-hunter Lan Wangji.
—
“He turned his head to the other side of the bed. Wei Ying lay sleeping, one hand tangled in the blanket, breathing soft and even. Lan Wangji’s chest ached. He did not know why. Anxiety? Curiosity? Both, mixed with gratitude that it had been him. If he were to carry a baby, it would be their baby. They had signed a contract to have one, after all.”

Summary
Lan Zhan couldn't speak. Was he still breathing? He wasn't sure. He didn't know if he could see or hear because his entire being had become his beating heart in front of the boy who had just entered the room.
Wei Ying was... young. By the gods, he looked so young. His hair was styled in the ponytail he had stopped wearing along with his sword, as if loose hair could help him hide from the hostility and fear of others. His eyes were bright and happy. His lips were curved into the smile that had captured Lan Zhan's heart from the very beginning.
The Wei Ying in front of him was just a boy, not yet tainted by war's harshness and people's cruelty.

Summary
“What would you do if you could have him back?” Nie Huaisang asked him, a bit too seriously as he leaned forward.
“There is no way for a dead cultivator to return,” Jiang Cheng scoffed, not even willing to entertain the thought.
“Perhaps, perhaps not,” Nie Huaisang shrugged, “Even if he came back, that wouldn’t do much to help, would it? Your sister is still gone. His reputation still damaged.”
“Stop speaking in riddles,” Jiang Wanyin growled, “What did you come here for, Nie Huaisang?”
“I asked you what you would do for your brother back,” Nie Huaisang started, “I would do anything to have mine back, Jiang Wanyin. And I’m here to offer you that same choice. Because our brothers’ deaths never should have happened. They happened because of schemes and plots. They happened because of lies and deception. Your brother was made to be a villain and was led to his death because he was too powerful. Mine was murdered because he stood in the way of Jin Guangshan.”
There's nothing Jiang Cheng wouldn't do to have his siblings back. And when Nie Huaisang comes to him with a proposal to save them by changing everything, he doesn't even hesitate to agree.

This was the unmistakable scent of an alpha’s rut.
Stuck in the Xuanwu Cave together, Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian are faced with a terrible, awful, no-good problem (maybe one of them is excited).

Summary
Jin Zixuan delicately grasped the skeletal hand once again. It twitched.
“Ew, why are you holding my hand, Peacock? Gross!”
Jin Zixuan leapt back, accidentally ripping the arm from its socket. Adrenaline coursed through him as he took in the horrifying sight before him. Wei Wuxian was dead, and yet, he was sitting up, scowling at the empty socket in his shoulder. “You took my arm.”
Jin Zixuan scoffed, roughly handing the arm back. “You’re a conscious corpse—that’s impossible.”
Wei Wuxian smirked. As he popped the arm back into its socket, he said, “As you can see, clearly it’s not. Also, I’m glad you’re finally starting to appreciate my shijie, but that confession was awful.”

Wuxian's attention snags on a nearby player standing alone. His nametag reads 'Hanguang-jun' and he's higher level than most of the players here. His avatar is dressed completely in white, which stands out among the varied colours of the outfits around him. Seriously, who would choose a mourning ensemble like that on purpose? Wuxian smiles wistfully as he thinks of another player he knew a long time ago, in another game, who dressed his character in white too...

Summary
Wei Wuxian grits his teeth, knowing he has no other choice. Not if it means Lan Zhan’s life. Besides, the Cloud Recesses has the best library and a long history of dealing with curses. It’s the most logical choice, even if he’d like to punch logic in the face right now.
“Wei Ying?” Lan Zhan asks.
He gives him a grim smile. “Looks like you’re finally getting your wish, Lan Zhan.”
Lan Zhan stares back at him, expression blank.
“I’m coming to Gusu with you.”
Or: Lan Wangji gets hit with a curse that requires Wei Wuxian to stay in close proximity at all times. Everything only gets more complicated from there.
