Sometimes Viva thinks she could show up at Clay's door with a bloody bird in her teeth, and he wouldn't bat an eye. He wouldn't ask why she has a dead bird in her mouth, he'd simply let her in and take the bird, and clean her face.
He wouldn't question why Viva would grieve the dead bird when she's the one who killed it. He'd hug her tight and let her cry.
