Summary
Athis said nothing, letting Farkas ‘sing’ into the dimness while he grit his teeth. Home was just around the corner. The three of them continued on, Aela sighing audibly every time Farkas’s voice cracked when he tried to sing the ancient Nord version of the bard-song. Blessedly, after another mile, Farkas cleared his throat, complained of its soreness, and shut up.
That left just the sounds of the night.
Until, of course, those very same sounds of night were broken by a piercing screech the likes of which Athis hadn’t heard around Whiterun in time out of mind.

Summary
This is a tale of two timelines. On one side, we have Nyenna, afraid and alone, fleeing into Skyrim from the horrors of her past. She is whisked away from her trouble for the briefest of moments, finding light in the deepest darkness. She falls in love. She gets married. Tries to settle down. Does all she can to learn new skills and earn a living and build a good, happy life with a comfortable future she never thought she'd be able to achieve again. And then, one day, her mentor sends her on a quest that would end up altering that future forever in unthinkable, unimaginable ways. She wakes up in the night, hearing the call of dragons in her head, and she can do naught but follow. And of the other side of things? Mistakes have been made along this path becoming this legendary thing. The bards sing of her deeds - and her misdeeds - and all eyes are on her now.
Next Post: We are goin' deadlineless for a while, friends! But Nyenna still lives in my head rent free, don't you worry. Stay tuned for one-shots!

Summary
There was a voice that spoke to me after I made my choice to stay. It may have been a God, or something attempting to be. Regardless, the voice said that it does not do to dwell on that which can no longer be overwritten.
Begin a new file, it said. There was, I recall, a version of myself that understood what that meant better than I can comprehend it now. The memory of that time has long since fallen from me. Regardless, I can’t be faulted for repeating that advice to myself as I wait behind the eyes of a carefully designed persona for time to turn and the next story to unfold before me.

Summary
“Ilias!” Brynjolf exclaimed, turning and throwing his arms wide—notably, he was not carrying a large, heavy crate—as he walked backwards. “Welcome to Solitude, and the biggest opportunity for, ah, profit you and I have ever had.”
“This idea was not yours,” Ilias-Tei muttered, each ‘s’ bringing forth a small snake-like hiss from her voice due to her immense irritation. “Also, it’s Ilias-Tei, for the thousandth time.”
“What’s a new nickname between friends?” Brynjolf said, his odd Bruma brogue scraping at Ilias-Tei’s last nerve. It had been a very, very long journey from Riften.
“I’ll give you a nickname,” she quipped.

Summary
The wayward Nord was currently busy stacking an absurd amount of stones of various shapes and sizes inside the unkempt cabin in the silt strider’s back. They weren’t all large, but the tedious work would have worn out the average person by now, or so Teldryn thought.
“And what, may I ask,” he began, wiping the dirt and ash off of his gloved palms onto his pants, “were you planning to do with a half-dead silt strider, sera?”
The wayward Nord grinned, and his eyes lit up like sunrise. Considering their errand—which was theft, really—this surprised Teldryn. That was usually no laughing matter.

Summary
From a Hobbitkink prompt:
The battle was over, and Thorin Oakenshield awoke, naked and shivering, in the Halls of his Ancestors.
The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.
(Follows the story of the War of the Ring).
(Bagginshield, Gimli/Legolas) In which recovery takes time, the dead members of the Company take to watching Gimli as though he’s a soap opera, the living struggle with being left behind, Legolas is confused, Khuzdul is abused, and Thorin is four feet and ten inches of guilt and anger.

Summary
Maybe Athenath preferred to work alone. Guidance was an unnecessary burden on their shoulders, and when they thought about the hassle of having to sit by and listen to someone drone on and on about the importance of certain objects and not getting caught and all the shit they'd learned on their own ages ago, they wanted to gag. Plus, it didn't exactly pay him well. Something about the old ways of their guild must have been long, long forgotten. Fair share was a laughable suggestion. And teamwork was debatable, or downright nonexistent, depending on the person.
Or, how a future Last Dragonborn acquired their prized instrument.
