Hisashi would do anything to make Izuku happy. If his little ember wanted Hisashi to backflip off the top of Mighty Agency, then Hisashi will gladly do it. The point is when he finds his raison d'être mourning his inability to become a hero, Hisashi has no choice but to look his kid in the eyes and promise he'll help him achieve his dream by any means possible.
In other words...
5 times Hisashi taught Izuku some useful skills (some more questionable than others) and the 1-time Izuku was unfortunate enough to put them to the test.
