    Summary

    The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.

    Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.

    Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.

    “What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”

    And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.

    Summary

    "How bad?" Grian croaked, licking his dry lips, trying to act as though the Captain's words hadn't sent a cold shiver running down his spine. His own voice was hoarse, and had the same scared intensity the others held. The flight attendant noticed he was clutching Scar's hand for support, though he had no recollection of doing so, nor any desire to let go.
    Scott cleared his throat, and said, "Well, we don't know what it is, so we can't know for sure what exactly will happen, but... the turbulence is getting worse. A lot worse. It started out slowly, but the strength and frequency is picking up. And it's not normal turbulence either, it's actually affecting the plane, causing damage. If it continues to grow at the same rate, with some rough mental calculations..."
    The entire cockpit seemed to hold its breath while Scott finally looked away from the window, cold gaze meeting Grian's as he said, "...Everyone on this plane is in danger."

    ~~~
    Grian is a flight attendant who is absolutely NOT hopelessly in love with his best friend and coworker (lie). But he has to put his unresolved feelings aside when everyone is in danger due to mysterious forces, and they need to try land safely before it's too late.
    Summary
    Grian has been frequenting a cozy little café where Scar is the cheerful barista. Grian spends hours there drafting his niche romance novels, while buying just enough coffee to justify his seat. Scar notices Grian’s strange typing habits - backspacing more than writing, when he does write, short sentences broken up only by the enter key, and staring at couples around him a little too much. Scar absolutely notices. And he's going to find out what Grian' deal is if it kills him.
    Or
    The one in which barista Scar deduces his romance-writer regular has actually never dated before, via snooping on the cafe’s open WiFi.
    Most people write from Grian's POV. I'm vowing to change that.
    Summary
    “Why do you keep running from me?”
    It’s inevitable. Scar finding him. That question. It burns anyway, at the back of his throat, acrid and bitter on his tongue. He doesn’t like the answer. He swallows it like a thick pill.
    “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He feigns ignorance. He turns his head to hide the creeping shame that colours his cheeks, that flushes him. Distantly, he feels his eyes water. Crap.
    “And I don’t think I believe you.” Scar shoots back lowly.
