Summary
Picks up in the car after the Suwa family showdown in Ep.12.
They have been partners for years, and they still are. They're just a different kind now, I guess? After making the drastic (and arguably psychotic) plan to leave the hitman business, Kazuki and Rei are forced to make a huge life transition. They have to become normal people. As they work together to adapt to this new and confusing life they find themselves developing new and confusing feelings as well. A continuation of what the anime set up, they are just two "best friends" trying to find a way through their mental illness, past trauma, and their everyday lives together. Unless, maybe there's more to it than that?
I wanted to dive into their near future but also elaborate on their past. So every chapter I am trying to include a current event and a related memory.

Rei, saying I love you a hundred different ways.
Shigeki never gave up trying to recapture his son. After three years of relentless pursuit, he closes in. In order to protect his family, Rei finally faces a confrontation he's been desperate to avoid.
Kazuki is there in the aftermath, facing his own.

Summary
For Edmond, both magic and romantic feelings had always been puzzles which he didn’t feel the need to approach. The Vice-Captain would choose his knightly duties over those abstract, convoluted topics any day of the week. However, after a certain Grand Sorcerer had entered his life, his views on the matter might have slightly shifted. As much as it pained the knight to admit, he had developed a need to learn more about those confusing, intricate, involuted feelings and powers. He was determined to figure them out all while continuing to execute his role as the Vice-Captain perfectly. Whether or not that was possible is a whole different animal.

This is basically an Edmond-centric story filled with all the love that I have for him as a character and for the game and its story as a whole. This is the first part of my diptych about these funky little gays but it could easily be read as a stand-alone work. Please, enjoy!

As soon as he walks in, Eiden knows this guy is something special. He stalks into the bar on stiff legs. His long, blueish gray hair swishes behind him. The bar’s dim, grungy light gleams off the surface of the sapphire he wears around his neck, making it look somehow even more fancy and out of place.
It’s been too long since anyone this interesting came around.
Eiden has to have him.
Eiden and Edmond meet at a gay bar. It is obviously Edmond’s first time, but Eiden has done all of this before.
