After the Metaverse collapsed, everyone moved on. Not Akira, though. What was Akira without Joker, without his arsenal of masks, without the purpose that had made his unsatisfying life whole? His parents despise him, his hometown believe he's a murderer, and Shido's conspiracy follows him everywhere he goes. There had always been more to Akira than Joker, though. Ryuji was a good friend. Or at least he always tried to be. He trusted Akira with his life and he knows Akira like few people do. But he can't really understand Akira when it comes to Akechi Goro. Something weird is going on and Ryuji can't fathom what would be so bad that Akira can't even trust him with it.
