Inside, Hope was sitting upright in her hospital bed, her left leg wrapped in a brace, an IV line tucked into her elbow. She looked up, confused, then startled as she saw the man behind Robby—tall, jittery, mid-thirties with a hollow-eyed stare and a grip on the gun that was far too tight.
“Dr. Robby?” she asked, voice small.
“It’s okay,” he said gently. “Hope, just—stay calm, alright? Everything’s going to be okay.”
The man shut the door behind them and locked it with a sharp click that echoed like thunder in the small room.

Derek has it easy, Stiles thinks, glancing at the wolf running ahead of him. Derek is literally built to run, four legs propelling him forward, sleek aerodynamic body cutting through the wind. Meanwhile, Stiles is sweating like crazy, inhaling bugs, and starting to stumble over roots and branches in his fatigue.
