He must be an awful sight, tired, bruised, barely seeing eyes. He might even look worse than Twilight, who can currently only move one leg.
"Hey, are you sure you know where you're going?"
"Don't doubt me," Warriors replies.
Twilight attempts a shrug. "Been a while."

"What's wrong Legend?" The Captain roared. "Come at me Veteran! Come at me!!"
Pulling the rod before him, Legend had thrown all his body's swaying weight into the back of his right foot, both hands wrapped tightly over the magic rod as though it were a shield.
Warriors' bright and gleaming sword swung down as though hellfire had been rained over him, and Legend couldn't catch the wrenched out shout of agony as the impact had been fully absorbed by Ice Rod, and traveled straight up to his bleeding shoulder.
"Fight me like you mean it!" He screamed, another slash Legend was lucky enough to dodge.
Holding defense weakly, Legend kept tripping and stumbling backwards. His tired and sore legs buckling as his feet caught in any exposed roots and vicing weeds.
He held the Ice Rod in front of him, with no means to attack, with no means to fight back. Legend couldn't help but defend, defend, defend.
"Say it!!" Warriors demanded, and Legend shook his head silently.

"From what I saw, it looked like a teenager – maybe sixteen or seventeen? Blonde hair, blue tunic. Had a sword and a bow. I tried to approach, but uhh… long story short, bad timing on my part, he saw something weird and I think I might have spooked him. He pulled out his bow before I could even blink. I think it was a warning shot? Hard to say. I tried to calm him down, tried to talk with him, and that’s about the time he threw the bananas and ran off."
Basically a "gang meets Wild" fic where Wild is a skittish, traumatised, low self-esteem loner who is very stealthy, very fast, not particularly honest and also capable of teleporting. Shenanigans ensue. Features a mix of humour, fluff, hurt/comfort, angst and action, with some of that tasty found family stuff. Things work out eventually, but expect emotional and physical owies along the way. Major themes are in the tags, with some additional CWs listed in the chapter notes - see Chapter 1 for a consolidated list.
Characters and basic premise are from the Legend of Zelda series and the Linked Universe AU, plus some common headcanons from AO3. Not LU canon-compliant. Please DO NOT repost any of my fics.

Summary
When Shadow shattered the Dark Mirror, he had expected to die. That had certainly happened. It was very painful and he would really like to not do it again.
What he hadn't expected was to wake up on the floor of a very creepy castle, be mistaken for a severed portion of Dark Link's reflection of the Hero's Spirit, and essentially be coerced into working for Ganondorf to attack the group of time-traveling heroes that Link had apparently, somehow, joined.
Shadow was only supposed to survive for long enough to figure out where the mirror that Ganondorf probably had his soul connected to was, and how to get back to Link. He wasn't supposed to get attached to Dark Link. He also wasn't supposed to start seeing a younger version of himself, from before Vio came crashing into his life, in him. He especially wasn't supposed to start trying to teach Dark how to live beyond the confines of the battle he had known for so long.
Or, Shadow adopts a new kid/brother, pulls a Vio (in more ways than just spying on the enemy from inside), and has way too much fun mentally cussing out Ganondorf.

“I need your help, Shadow,” he admitted. “I’ve heard about you, you know. What you’ve done. I could use your expertise.” Shadow’s blood ran cold, but he wasn't done. “However! Before we get into the nitty–gritty, I have a gift for you. It's right behind you.”
Shadow turned slowly, trying to keep half an eye on Dark. He didn't like the guy one bit. There was just something…off about him.
But when he turned around, all other thoughts left his mind. Because lit by a flickering brazier behind him, just like the others in the circle, was Link.

They both knew what treason meant. It meant being killed.
“I can’t die.”
The look on Ghirahim’s face was nothing short of ghastly.
“We’ll make you wish you could.”
Or; Dark is kept in a small, empty room for hours at a time as punishment whenever he fails to kill the heroes. It does more damage than he realises, and, when a foiled escape plan somehow leads to Dark ending up among the chain... Maybe he can start to heal.
