On the one hand, this person wanted to be left alone, and probably had a reason for it; maybe they were infected, or badly hurt, or resisting the urge to murder someone. On the other, though, Jayce had made a promise to himself a long time ago. A promise to never let a survivor go off alone, to wither away like that, if he had the smallest chance of helping.

"I'll stitch you up when you are back to consciousness" she mumbled, completely wrapped up in the dressing of the wound. So much so that she did not notice the voice that addressed her, at first.
A female voice with a very distinct American accent. The voice sounded exhausted, parched, low, but strong.
"If you're talking to me, you're going to have to speak English sweetheart"
Caitlyn's eyes widened as she looked up from dressing the wound and cerulean eyes found the greyest ones she had ever seen, sending a rush through her that she was unfamiliar with.
Then, Caitlyn spoke.
English this time, laced with a light French accent.
"I told you your wound would need to be stitched up when you were to wake" she simply informed her, ignoring how heart her started pounding yet again.

During the summer of 1943, Caitlyn rescues US Air Force pilot Violet McAdams from a plane wreck in the French country side, and decides to hide her on her farm to allow her wounds to heal properly.

Summary
To Vi, Caitlyn was a friend, or something more, first. That status came before the title of “Piltovan,” or “enforcer,” or any other qualifier that could be tacked on a resume.
And earlier, it was to Caitlyn that Vi spilled all the insecurities and regrets simmering at the core of her brain; the dull burn she felt at the memories from those days she wished panned out differently. Caitlyn held her hands, her face, her heart, in her grasp and let Vi confess it all until her shoulders finally sagged and her mind clouded over. Exhausted, she drifted off to sleep on that ratty couch with Caitlyn by her side.

She returns home to hear the news of an outrageous proposition a rich uppercity woman has sent into effect, not yet understanding how this will change the course of her life. Hijinks ensue.

Vi plugs herself into the world of pain and a reminder she was never good enough for the woman of her ‘dreams’ but Vi begins confuse reality with fiction.

She pulled on her expensive button down and reached for her cufflinks.
"One day you won't wake up."
Counting on it.
Vi washed her face, not caring her collar was getting soaked with her out of order routine. This reminded her what was real and what wasn't. Maybe she was lying to herself in the memories.
"She was never real."
Vi gripped the sink. "Deactivate!"

With this story I hope to bring reconciliation, healing, and an overabundance of safety and happiness to these girls. Expect many descriptions of food, tickling, and Vi's love for Cait.
