Summary
There is a cluster of women just outside of his door. They are by his secretary's desk admiring the large bouquet of flowers a delivery man had dropped off just ten minutes ago. Daichi can't see the bouquet from his spot, but he's already aware of the fact that it is big and lovely and utterly romantic. There had been a card attached to it and he had seen his secretary flush and smile while reading it. It was sweet, the reaction. His fiance must be thoughtful.
Something inside Daichi twitches and the envy that ripples through his chest shames him.

He has never met someone quite like Oikawa Tooru, though.

Summary
A new town means a new beginning. New beginnings are terrifying and Hitoka is the last person anyone expects to leave the comfort of home and friends just to settle down in a tiny town where she knows practically, well, no one.
But she is the person to make that leap. It's a new town with new people and a slew of new opportunities and chances for Hitoka. It's scary and it's overwhelming and it's enough to make one's head spin- even with the careful planning she's made.
Lucky for her, though, there's a crew of friendly (and somewhat furry) farmers around to make the move a little less scary and a lot more interesting.

“I’m done,” Kyoutani confirms. “So you can stop your pouting.”
It’s Suga’s turn to huff and it comes out pointed- sharp and sullen and making his petulance grow even more so.
“I wasn’t pouting,” Suga denies- sulkily and stupidly and stubbornly because, god, it’s so obvious that he is.
Kyoutani rolls his eyes at him and Suga crosses his arms tighter, frowns up at him.

“Kuroo-san? Are you okay?”
That comes with a soft touch to his forehead and Kuroo blinks his eyes open in surprise, blinks again when he finds Yachi close to him- lips dipped into a small frown and brow furrowed in worry. The back of her hand is to his forehead and it’s soft, cool against him. With her this close, he can smell the sweet vanilla of her favored hand lotion.

“...’m sorry,” she mumbles. “I...I shouldn’t have made you come get me.”
He huffs and she flinches a little, hugs onto Dev tighter as Kyoutani slouches and leans against the wall.
“You didn’t make me,” he points out in a grumble. “I was up anyway.”
It doesn’t do anything to lessen the guilt on her face and Kyoutani frowns over it, frowns over the way her eyes look away from him.

“I don’t deal with criminals,” Daichi snaps, not able to help himself. It comes with the heat of old arguments- countless nights spent fighting with his former partner over the same thing over and over again. “You know that.”
The scorn doubles down on Suga’s face and he turns away from Daichi again, back rigid.
“Oh, I know,” Suga tosses over his shoulder coolly. “You’re above that.” His fists clench at his side right as Daichi’s does and Daichi grits his teeth as Suga begins to walk away. “You’re above me.”

“Daichan,” Oikawa whines, loud enough that Daichi knows he’s covering up some true distress, “today has been awful! Tell me you brought ice cream too!”
Daichi holds up the bag clutched in his other hand and he nods- shoulders relaxing when Oikawa lets out a tiny, greedy, pleased noise.
