Summary

By the time their son turned six, two things became evident to Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy: their son was a Seer, and his sweet, docile nature would never make for an appropriate Malfoy Heir. With a war on the horizon, they made a terrible, irrevocable choice.
Thirteen years later, the war was over, and Hogwarts was just rebuilt enough to welcome students back to its halls. For the would-be recent graduates, an additional (forced) eighth year was enacted to round out their education. On day one of year eight, Harry Potter noticed a certain Slytherin missing from the usual crowd and deducted Malfoy must be up to something. Never one to shy from a quest, Harry went after the missing Slytherin, completely unprepared for what he would find.

Draco Malfoy had long since come to terms with the fact that life was unfair.
He had come to terms with it when, at the tender age of one, his dear Aunt Bellatrix had given him a gift — which turned out to be a colorblindness curse, because she thought it would be “funny” for him to see the world the way she did.
He had come to terms with it when his father dismissed his lack of color vision as “an excellent way to focus on more important things than frivolous aesthetics” (a statement which Lucius would later contradict by being absolutely livid when Draco failed to coordinate his dress robes properly for an important gala).
And he had especially come to terms with it when, time and time again, he heard people wax poetic about Potter’s brilliant green eyes — which, as far as Draco could tell, were just as gray as everything else.
Seriously, what was the big deal?
But life, as he knew, was unfair. Which was why, in his Eighth Year at Hogwarts, surrounded by former enemies who had somehow turned into friends (a whole other mess he was still figuring out), his deepest, most humiliating secret was about to be exposed.
And it was going to be Ron Weasley’s fault.

Summary
It's been a few years since the war and Harry has his life put together pretty well. He was a bit lonely since he never did get back together with Ginny, but his auror career was going great. Then he finds himself cursed into his animagus form while on patrol in Knockturn and he flees to the first person that might be able to help.
It's been a few years since the war and Draco's life had been pretty terrible. Even though he did not need money, he wanted a job to stave off how ostracized he felt except he was barred from the ministry and no reputable shop would hire him. He ended up opening an apothecary shop in Knockturn, but he did not like the clientele he had to serve.
Then a lion bursts into Draco's shop and both their lives are changed.

After the Battle, Harry thinks he's left Hogwarts for good, but Minerva insists that all students return for an Eighth Year if they wish to sit for NEWTs in the spring, and Harry needs those NEWTs to go into the Aurors. Draco's just grateful not to be in Azkaban. Or the Manor. He's hoping he can steer clear of Potter this year and grapple with his own problems. Unfortunately for him, Potter appears to be one of those problems. And that's not even addressing the fact that Potter's got serious issues of his own, which Draco realises as he's forced to share an Eighth Year dormitory room and several classes with the Gryffindor Git. If only they can make it through the year without killing each other, it should be all right, shouldn't it?
