Summary
"I don't know what I'm doing here," Lucifer said.
"Then why are you still here?"
Lucifer thought about Charlie. The photograph in his pocket.
"Because I left my daughter. Because I lost my job. Because I spen months wiping a counter and pretending I wasn't dying inside." He looked back at Alastor. "You're the first thing that's made me feel like I'm not already dead."
Alastor went still. The bulb flickered.
"Don't romanticize me," Alastor said. "I'm not your savior. I'm a thief. A killer. I'm a man with a price on his head."

A Bonnie & Clyde reimagining set against the backdrop of the Great Depression. Two broken men. A single robbery that changes everything. A Texas Ranger who wants them dead. And a photograph of a little girl, tucked into a pocket, carried across state lines.

Summary
Lucifer Morningstar has been known by many names throughout his very long life. The Lightbringer, Star of Morning, Father of Sin, and Most Hated Being in All of Creation to name a few. These days, he’s hoping to claim the title of Hell’s Greatest Dad, which is an accomplishment easier said than done. Enter one arrogant and conniving Radio Demon and life suddenly takes a turn for the worst. But hey, what’s a little misery to the King of Hell.
Or:
Lucifer could think of a million-and-one reasons to distrust Alastor, but if there’s ever a lesson that the universe is happy to teach him time and time again, it’s that mortals have a peculiar habit of being so much more than they seem. Suddenly, those million-and-one reasons don’t seem to hold much weight, especially when revelations lead to him needing to rely on the one sinner who makes his life a living hell.
Loosely inspired by the song ‘Gods & Monsters’ by Lana Del Rey
