Summary
Simon Riley, captain of the Manchester Soldiers, is one of the best goal scorers in the entire premier league. For some reason, however, he cannot score a goal against John MacTavish to save his life. It's driving him a little mad at this point.
When John gets booted from his team for a "breach of contract" Simon does his best to be professional, to welcome his new goalie. That's what good captains do. It's just a shame MacTavish is such an arrogant prick.

Summary
It was good to stand there, being close again, sharing the same space. John‘s cheeks were red from the cold, the tip of his nose, too. No matter how beautiful the falling snow was in the English countryside, Ghost couldn‘t stop looking at John.
Despite wanting to trace his features, brush over the small drops of molten snow on his cheek, over his beard, he didn‘t. They were very much out in the open, their arms just covered by the railing of the tower.
I missed you, he wanted to say, but didn‘t.
The low baritone of Simon's voice reached him like a shot of whiskey burning its way into his belly, equal parts warm, comforting and intoxicating.
The words were soft, though, not a hint of cheek in them, and wasn't that curious.
He wanted to go to Simon, push himself into his big body like a little boy pulling a thick, familiar blanket over himself. Wanted to kiss him hello, but he stood there, unsure what kind of cover the dark gave them.
Missed you, he thought to say, but didn't.

Summary

Before going underground, he used his power to reassign the members to different units. Laswell and Price are able to get it under control, but not before Soap's departure date. Until it can get sorted out, Soap spends some time working under another lieutenant. Ghost doesn't appreciate the state that his Johnny is returned to them in.

Summary
Ghost knows he's cursed, and has come to terms with it. He knows he'll never get to be truly happy, especially if that happiness involves someone else in his life. And that's fine. It's fine. Everything is perfectly, completely, absolutely fine.
Unfortunately, a certain sergeant never got the memo.
Despite his determination to ignore his desires, Ghost is eventually forced to make a decision, or risk losing the one person who means everything to him. And maybe, just maybe, with Soap's help, he'll be able to realize that happiness might be fleeting, but that just makes it all the more important to seize while you can.
