Summary
A young Detective Sargeant joins Daniel's unit, and it suddenly becomes apparent that they're linked. But by who? And how, exactly? The two become close colleagues, friends, even. Respect is earned, slowly but surely. Perhaps one day she could be the very thing to help him move on from being a lost and heartbroken widower. He still loves his wife, but perhaps it's time to find some happiness again. He never fully healed from the tragedy of her loss. He isn't ready to leave the police force just yet, either. There's still a lot of work to be done.
(This is a continuous roleplay story on Tumblr. Slow progress for piecing together replies, editing everything, and posting new chapters. Expect deep dives into criminal cases, police work, addiction, and healing from the loss of a loved one. The reason why this story is listed as AU is because it won't be canon compliant with Series 2. But this story is by far one of my favorites. A slow romance is the best kind. Also of note, in reference to Noodle_Mama's original character, DS Davina Lennox's face-claim is Karen Gillan.

Summary
This is a series that grew from There Are No Saints to far more. It follows the lives of DS Davina Lennox and DCI Daniel Hegarty.
