“Yassen carefully walked towards the entrance of the hospital building. There was no set pathway but overtime a red-dirt footpath had formed from people pushing down the blades of grass. He followed it. As expected, he was quickly approached by two guards who flanked him. Yassen slowed down at their approach but did not stop.
“Cossack?” The one guard asked him. They fell into step beside him. One on his right side, and the other on his left.
He nodded once but remained silent otherwise. He was currently not in the mood to deal with people.
“Follow me,” the guard continued, “Major Yu is waiting for you in his study.””
