Mira tossed her hands into the air dramatically. “Oh my God, fine, Rumi. He was conventionally attractive-” Rumi’s face lit up with an expression that taunted a ‘told you so’ right into the tallest girl’s face, “-but then, just like any other man, he had to go and open his mouth.”
Zoey gaped open-mouthed at the girl sitting next to her, contemplating whether someone had translated the Lesbian Masterdoc from English into Korean or if she was going to have to do it herself. For Mira, she thought. Well, actually, Zoey pondered, Mira is pretty fluent in English. She could probably read most of it, and Zoey could help her translate any words she didn’t know. Lost in her thoughts, Zoey clocked back into the conversation as Rumi claimed that Mira “has really high standards”.
“Or maybe,” Mira sighed, “I’m just a raging lesbian. Ever thought about that one?” She turned to face the maknae, whose jaw was still dropped like a singing fish mounted to the wall. “Zoey, stop staring at me like that. You’ve known I like girls for years.”
