Caelus felt himself getting light-headed at the preposterous conclusion he had gotten from his vague memories. Perhaps he had seen and read too many novels that were shoved into his arms at the local bookstore or online copies that March begged him to buy and he had curiously skimmed through the books. It seemed to be a mere fantasy, a bad one, but Caelus couldn’t shake the feeling that he could be right.

Dying. Caelus remembered dying. Dying alone in the middle of nowhere. He could never forget how he struggled to breathe, clawing on the ground as he felt the hollow feeling on his chest spread all over his body, incapacitating him as his vision starts to blur, and then it was all black.
It was like he was thrusted in the void, a world full of nothingness. No painful intake of breaths. No bleeding out. Nothing at all. But that was until he heard something.
A voice crying out his name. The voice was so familiar, but he couldn't give a name to it as it cried his name out in agony, as if they're filled with grief and sadness.
"I'm sorry, Caelus."
He wanted to tell them that it's okay, that it wasn't their fault.
But, was it really?

After defeating Cocolia, all of them are tired both mentally and physically but they remain quite vigilant after all, fragmentum monsters are all over the place. As they were going down, they thought that the coast was clear but they didn't notice a fragmentum monster behind them that appeared out of nowhere until it was too late. Caelus — who was at the back — felt like someone or something was behind him, he looked back but the fragmentum monster hit him on the head and he fell on the ground with a loud thud.
