Summary
The goats— some stocky and some scrawny, some nimbly heading towards the water and shoving the smaller ones out of their way, some limping behind— looked up at Gregor with a curiosity that could only be described as “morbid”. Gregor found the way they stared at him quite unsettling, though he never knew if it was just him or the goats.
Before him, Trofim Lysenko stood tall by his herd, watching them; then fixing his gaze upon Gregor, definitely judging him and his flock. Gregor turned his attention away from the other man, observing his sheep; the goats have now began to drink, some loudly bleating at the sheep, making them back off in confusion, and some still eyeing him.
___Mendel and Lysenko, symbolized as the two keepers of the opposing animals in Christianity, leading their flock of geneticists.
