Summary

However, Atsumu ends up letting the most insufferable vampire, Sakusa Kiyoomi, feed on him. And maybe Atsumu likes how it feels just a little /too/ much.
So with a plan for vengeance, Atsumu finds him again. Little does he know, his plan will fall apart, and he might just end up attached to a vampire who has a lot of baggage.

A scientist with an explorer's heart, Kiyoomi journeys to Antarctica to reach the South Pole in a quest for knowledge. Along the way, he befriends and confounds his fellow adventurers, develops a peculiar fondness for penguins, and finds that Atsumu - a sailor with a bounty of secrets - gets right under his skin.
For better or for worse, he doesn't know.
Meanwhile, the southern continent seems to be doing its best to keep them from reaching their goal. The further they travel, the less likely it is they'll see home again, but the lure of the Pole is too great to turn back.

The floor was dark for the most part. Lit mainly by low-efficiency lights as everyone had gone home. Almost everyone. Sakusa paused at the entrance to the kitchen. There under the white light stood Atsumu, staring back at him wide-eyed.
“Miya? What are you still doing here?”
“Uh...I had some work I needed to do.” Atsumu said, avoiding Sakusa’s gaze, cheeks pink.
He lifted a brow. “After everyone has gone home?”
Atsumu pouted, cheeks puffing out in a way that made the flush decorating them more noticeable. “Ya haven’t gone home yet.”
Sakusa starred as Atsumu pulled his lower lip once more between his teeth. His mind went blank. Vision focused on the red pout. “That is correct.” He murmured half-heartedly. Blood roared in his ears. He unconsciously took a step forward.

Hanamaki doesn't love his job as Seijoh Inc.'s Dynamic Relations Specialist, but unfortunately for his sanity, he's very good at it. He spends every day wrangling the activities and interactions of Seijoh's Alphas and Omegas, which all make him grateful that he's a Beta, but handling incident reports about Oikawa and Iwaizumi's nonsense gets tiring after a while.
Luckily, when the going gets tough, he gets Matsukawa, a Beta who's always there to sooth Hanamaki's rough day with pastries or his presence.

No matter the taste, be it copper or stale water, Atsumu will get his share of his longtime rival and enemy. What he might fail to see, though, is that two can play at this game and break its rules too.
