Bruce Wayne is dead.
Dick Grayson puts on the Batsuit. And along with the suit, he inherits something he is completely unprepared for: eight-year-old Damian, Bruce's son, an angry, insolent boy whom nobody wants.
One year. Two. Five.
And then Bruce comes back.
Or, Damian has probably grown too attached to Dick over the five years under his guardianship. However, the return of the deceased Bruce turned out to be far more problematic than anyone could have imagined.
Or, Richard gave five years of his life to this boy, and he doesn't know whether he has the right to call him his son now that the real father has returned.

“I’ve been thirsty since before we started the patrol,” Dick said, resting a hand against his chin. “So I don’t think it’s particularly relevant.”
“I’m starving.”
“Yeah, me too,” Jason assured him.
“My stomach is somewhat empty, Father. Although Richard gave me some gelatin as a snack, since our favorite store was closed for some unfortunate reason.”

When a shipment of military explosives disguised as medical equipment turns up on the Blüdhaven docks, Dick Grayson follows the trail to Gotham—and to a temporary delivery authorisation for Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He has every intention of handing over the evidence without making the trip personal.
Then the hospital explodes.
What follows leads through stolen patient records, abandoned clinics, old surgical programmes and a conspiracy increasingly interested in the choices people make when there is no way to save everyone. Someone has been studying Gotham's medical system closely. Someone knows how Dr Bruce Wayne thinks in an operating theatre. And someone has started asking what happens when the patient in front of him is family.
Meanwhile, Dick is discovering that surviving an injury is considerably easier than recovering from one, Bruce is discovering that care and control are not synonyms, and the rest of the family are becoming increasingly difficult to leave behind.
The closer they get to the truth, the less this looks like a series of crimes.
It looks like an experiment.

He doesn’t respond. But she sees the way his entire body stiffens. How his eyes snap toward the hallway that splits off near the back.
“Who is it?” she whispers.
He doesn’t meet her gaze, doesn’t even blink. “We need to leave. Now.”
But it’s already too late. Footsteps. Three sets. Closing in.
From the shadows ahead, the first figure appears, Jouno, his movements light and precise, head tilting ever so slightly like he’s already memorized every sound in the room.
He stops at the threshold. Smiles like he’s found what he’s been tracking for hours. His eyes are closed but he knows who's in front of him.
“Mchizou,” he says smoothly. “You’ve been dodging our calls.”

After the events of Fyodor and the Rats Of The Undead, we take a glance at the internal problems of the Port Mafia when a certain member decides to be resurrected from the dead due to an unnamed mysterious fellow, and causes trouble for the Port Mafia.
The Port Mafia, prideful and unable to ask for help, attempts to hide it from the Armed Detective Agency and those who could possibly be a cause of concern and distraction for them, while also trying to navigate through their own trials and errors that poses a threat to their public persona.
And the more they place on their shoulders, the heavier the burden will get, until eventually, the organized Port Mafia dissolves into merely a shell of their former self, unable to stabilize themselves without the help of one another.
