Summary
Walter Strickler, as far as he knows, is just an ordinary man. So ordinary it seems painful.
He teaches history at the local high school, is married to the love of his life, Barbara, and is raising his son Jim, as well as his surrogate son Toby, who lives next door.
A caring family man and father, who no one has a single mean thing to say about.
Though there are parts of his past that Walter Strickler does not remember. Suddenly at night, horrible images enter his mind. That of creatures, of roars and blood, he dreams he has claws and people screaming at the mere sight of him.
Then other strange things starts happening, Walters son is acting weird, his head aches and odd visions grow worse. And Walter starts believing he does not want to remember, but does he have a any choice?

Summary
Barbara Lake, single mother of Jim and overworked doctor.
She has a secret. Barbara Lake has the special ability to heal trolls, and has thus grown up knowing of trolls and has been taught how to mend their wounds. As so she is called. "The Troll Mender."
With so many things on her plate, Barbara never had a chance to live a normal life. Or do anything for herself. That is when suddenly one day her son's history teacher appears on Barbara's doorstep. And suddenly once Walter Strickler has entered Barbara's life, things don't seem so bad after all.
Barbara really had not believed she would ever fall in love again, and yet there he was. The perfect man of Barbara's dreams... It really seems to good to be true.

Summary
Canon divergence in episode 10 of Trollhunters season 3, “A House Divided”, when Jim enters Merlin's bath and potion to become half Troll.
What if... Strickler pushes the kids to break down the door... and changes a life forever (or reveals it)...
Jim’s friends had begged him not to repeat the mistake of doing it alone like he did with the Darklands. Even Strickler, trying to respect the young man’s resolve, knew the burden on Jim's shoulders could drive him to sacrifice himself again. Fearing the worst, the Changeling broke down the magically reinforced bathroom door — likely enchanted by Merlin himself — using all his strength.
Just as Jim was nearly submerged in the potion, Strickler reached out and grabbed his arm.
But it was too late. The potion had already taken effect — and the contact disrupted the spell.
A pulse of wild magic erupted from the tub, striking everyone in the room.
Merlin, sensing something terribly wrong, rushed upstairs. As shadows consumed the space — not just Jim, but everything — he burst into the bathroom, only to glimpse the spreading void.
Before it took him too, he roared
"What have you done?!
And then, there was nothing.

Summary
A series of fancomics set in an AU where Strickler is the Trollhunter. Begins sort of in media res and wasn't planned to be a longer series from the beginning, but somehow developed into exactly that. Overall it's more focused on exploring character interactions in this AU rather then telling a complete story.
