Summary
Post-Into Darkness, both Spock and Nyota find themselves torn about their feelings toward Jim, feelings awakened by James's tragic brush with death. Feelings grow as days pass, and closeness with a weak James facing rehabilitation.
Each of them face their conflicting feelings on their own, until Nyota decides it's time to talk to Spock. It's a shock for her to discover that he too is feeling pulled in two opposite directions, the one that leads to Nyota (the woman he loves) and the one that leads to James (a man for whom he's harboring many different emotions). Neither wish to break their relationship, neither feel they'll be able to stop the growing love for James Kirk.
Eventually they find a solution to the conundrum: include James in their romantic life. If James agrees, that's all.

“Yes,” Reiju confirms. “And in order to cement the deal, my father is prepared to offer you several enticements as well.”
“Such as?”
She pauses, and for the first time in the entire conversation, Zoro thinks he sees a flicker of displeasure in her eyes. It vanishes before he can convince himself whether or not it’s real, though, after which her expression smoothes out into a mask of cool indifference.
