This is a strange kind of romance, but it is a romance. Jim's fascinated by Spock's detachable penis and keeps stealing it. For the first half of the fic, he's operating without Spock's consent, but he does eventually get it. If you want, you can read this as an exploration of Jim's psychosexual landscape and how Spock's detachable penis allows Jim to satisfy his need for physical intimacy without having to risk any emotional intimacy, except, of course, he forgets about Spock's touch telepathy.
Or you can just enjoy the porn-logic absurdity of Spock soaking his dick in the bathroom sink and Jim continually running off with it.
Contains non-consensual sexual activity with Spock's detached penis, though Spock isn't too bothered by it and is mostly annoyed by the inconvenience. Also Uhura is tricked into touching it for non-sexual reasons. She doesn't seem too bothered either.

Really enjoyed this. I loved all the emotional ups and downs, and the way Rodney and John's relationship goes through about five different iterations while they try to figure out how to deal with each other, and I really loved how John continually struggles to do the right thing, and how he keeps thinking of his father. Wonderful story.

The borrowed setting from The Vor Game had me thinking a lot about Miles and Jim and Spock and the ways they're similar, but you don't have to be familiar with the Vorkosigan Saga at all in order to enjoy this. I loved Jim and Spock working to solve the mystery and also improve Zelenka Base--and Starfleet itself--while they're at it. Excellent use of Uhura and Chapel, too. Very satisfying.

The ATA therapy turns Rodney into John's twin and neither of them likes it. At first. I love the way Trin weaves this into—and around—canon. It starts in the first days of the expedition and goes on from there and seeing John through Rodney reveals a lot about both of them. An excellent and satisfying story full of action/adventure and feelings.
