Summary
It's been about 4-6 months since Jax abstracted. Pomni tries her best to help him feel welcome, but what happens when the corruption is partially repaired. How will Pomni and the rest of the circus help Jax not just adjust to her new permanant life within the circus but also find comfort in her new body.
Sometimes the universe gives a sign that you need to change your ways. Other times it forces that change on you forcefully and you just need to adapt to the change

Summary
It has been 6 months since Caine returned and intergrated with the others in the circus. During that time, Caine began to work on a solution to a problem he had ignored and caused for so long.
The brain scans were corrupted data, data can be repaired if the correct program is used.
But what happens when deabstraction comes with it's own host of physical disabilites and mental difficulties? How does one adjust to not just being alive again but also to new weaknesses of their digital flesh
I suppose we will just have to find out together

“Stay with me.”
Jax hyperventilated violently in her arms, chest heaving, tears pouring down his face. He was losing himself entirely and all Pomni could do was cling stubbornly to him as if he would disappear if she didn’t, like the apparition of a lost loved one she couldn’t bear to let go. For Jax, she was the only lifeline offered to him while he drowned in a hungry, ravaging ocean. He wrapped around her desperately and came undone around her and all she could do was try her hardest to hold him together. Their hearts beat in unison.
(TLDR: Pomni saves Jax from abstracting and to everyone’s surprise, he apologizes. Afterwards, Jax has to accept the fact that he must make amends, and more than just his personality and behavior must change as a result)

There might have been a time when he could've been justified in expecting people to respect him, but it ended that day, and he kept digging the hole deeper. Pretty much all of her thoughts go blank, stunted, like there shouldn't be anything else to think about in this moment. Because there's a pretty girl in front of her — and the pretty girl begins to smile at her — and God knows that's bound to kill a lesbian on sight.
In which Lilly, amidst a depressive episode, is forced by her two closest friends to tag along to a summer resort. And it's here where one of said friends almost drowns, introducing her to a certain rosy-cheeked, pale-faced lifeguard who's determined to fill her life with colour.
