“Stay with me.”
Jax hyperventilated violently in her arms, chest heaving, tears pouring down his face. He was losing himself entirely and all Pomni could do was cling stubbornly to him as if he would disappear if she didn’t, like the apparition of a lost loved one she couldn’t bear to let go. For Jax, she was the only lifeline offered to him while he drowned in a hungry, ravaging ocean. He wrapped around her desperately and came undone around her and all she could do was try her hardest to hold him together. Their hearts beat in unison.
(TLDR: Pomni saves Jax from abstracting and to everyone’s surprise, he apologizes. Afterwards, Jax has to accept the fact that he must make amends, and more than just his personality and behavior must change as a result)

(in this fanfic, the fight club isn't in a video game, it's the real world, just looney tune kinda vide)
TW: contains mentions of abuse, childhood trauma, abusive families, transphobia, internalized transphobia, harassment, etc...
"jax" is a closed trans woman (MTF) who privately goes by the name jaz, (short for jasmine), nobody knows this expect for pomni, but during a box match, jax get's outed by his opponent (reno, a raccoon character that goes by the stage name the iron punch) and is publicly humiliated and degraded in front of everybody, it breaks her down to the point of tears and she runs away and though she does eventually return to the ring, but that won't stop reno from sabotaging the fights to earn jaz's spot, and he's wiling to go low.
“jaz” (short for jasmine)

Disgusted by the idea of gaining sponsors off a faux romance between her and Xavier, she steels herself to the idea of winning no matter what the cost. Nothing was going to change that. Except he did.
