Summary
After an unexpected connection between Abby and Max the summer before Junior year, the two find themselves at an even worse place than when they started. Despite this, they carry on and never rekindle their friendship through the remainder of high school. When college comes, they're both in for a surprise that is primed to ruin everything...or maybe make things better in ways the pair could never have imagined.
This is set pretty soon after the end of Season 3 and while it does contain some chapters following Abby and Max in high school for plot purposes, the bulk of this story takes place 2 years later during their freshman year of college.

idk I watched season 3 and was tRiGgeREd by how Max was treated towards the end especially and couldn't stop thinking about it so... I started writing, it was gonna be a one chapter wonder and instead I accidentally wrote a novella... oops! still not finished so we'll see where it ends up but yah thought I'd start posting the chapters. title from the new Marina song that was just so clearly written for Max Baker.

maxine baker is going through a lot. abby littman is going through a lot. really, everyone in their friend group is going through a lot. but in the chaos, they at least have each other, and hopefully, that's enough.
and maybe- just maybe- max and abby can sort out some complicated feelings in the process.
aka: a rewrite of S3 with two major changes: MANG are actually kind and supportive friends who confide in each other, AND abbymax happens! what more could you ask for.
