“I mean,” Nai shrugs, aiming for nonchalant and missing the mark spectacularly, inwardly wincing when the corner of Nicholas’ mouth quirks up slightly at the attempt. “It’s late, and you’re not sober, so just…” Nai meets Nicholas’ stare, resisting the urge to look away when those dark eyes meet his head-on. “Stay.” He repeats, quieter.

It was amazing after all this time that Vash was still extending the olive branch, though this was the most hesitant form of invitation he had received yet.
He felt his lip curl, because Vash always used these tactics, always went below the belt and preyed on his never-ending desire to see his twin. It wasn’t fair, because Nai had now come to accept that the love they felt for each other would never be equal. He didn’t have the open heart that his twin did. He only wanted Vash, and it had been that powerful, gripping love that had driven the wedge between them.
Tonight is the moment he's been waiting for. The final nail in the coffin.
Yes. Vash would find some way to reject him again, and in that rejection, Nai would finally die.

Yes he had napkins, yes he could’ve just licked his lips to clean himself, this is a new level of embarrassment, and yet he doesn’t mind too much.

One moment he was on his way to collect his payment from his current job. It was easy - too easy in his opinion.
The few demons that took residence in the abandoned castle were weak and promptly fell after just a few slashes with Red Queen. It was almost disappointing and not even worth the travel, but hey money is money.
Nero was just minding his own business leaving the castle grounds when a slight prick to his neck made his entire body heavy and unresponsive in seconds.

“You’ve fucked Vash, haven’t you?”
It comes out of nowhere. Knives’ eyebrows raise, but he doesn’t deny it. He doesn’t do anything except lay that cold gaze on him. It couldn’t be further from Vash’s despite their similar features, and eventually, he smirks.
“Did he tell you that?” It's like Knives is scientifically designed to grate on Wolfwood’s last nerve. “Come on, Nicholas. I thought you were smart enough to not ask stupid questions.”
Wolfwood throws the first fist of their second fight in the month. It’s short lived, as they’re both still healing from bitter injuries, and the shatter of glass has Vash immediately between them as a physical barrier they are both unwilling to harm. Wolfwood still doesn’t get his answer, and just a few weeks later, Vash hits him with a bombshell.
“Nico,” he says. “I think you should sleep with Nai.”
OR, Vash stages a reconciliation gone wrong, (gone right?), gone R-18.

Nicholas was so sure of himself. He thought he would be enough for Vash's heat, he had no reason to think otherwise. Not until his first knot did nothing to satiate his Omega but that was okay. Vash is a special Omega. So he tried again. And then...he tried again. He tried and tried but nothing worked and eventually, Nicholas had to realize he just wasn't enough. Not for Vash with the way he was and it was putting Vash's life in very real danger. Like, life ending danger.
But Nicholas knows someone who could be enough, someone who could help Vash with his seemingly never ending heat. The thought makes him want to choke on rocks and die. But it's for Vash, his perfect Omega. The love of his life. Thus, he makes do and he calls up the most insufferable man known to this mortal existence, Millions Knives. And he asks for help. What he gets in return is a lot of fucking sass, a satiated and blissed out Omega, and probably the most earth shattering and mortifying realization of his life. Oh, and some blue balls for the road.
